The Pub Name List- an interesting occurance in the UK is the strange naming of Pubs. They are always a combination of nouns and seem in most cases completely random. Strangest of all is that most make up extraordinarily unapealing names for a place one would go to consume food and drink. Here are the ones I have found so far:

The Bucket of Blood
The Quiet Woman
Dirty Dicks
Pig & Fiddle
Bishops Finger
The Salmon & Compass
Sloshed Frog
Stick & Weasel
The Hat & Feathers
The Fiddler's Elbow
The Coal Hole
The Water Rats
Bag o' Nails
Pitcher & Piano
Garlic & Shots
The Hoop and Grape
The Hound & Duck
The Hand & Racquet
The Bear and Staff
The Rat and Parrot
Hung Drawn & Quartered
The Good Samaritan
Star and Garter
Grave Maurice
Pun & Hand
The Bung Hole
The Square Pig
the Cock & Bull
the slug and lettuce
The Red Lion and Pineapple
Fox & Anchor
Fox & Rabbit
The Hound & Fox
Horse's Head
Boar's Head
Turk's Head
Nag's Head
King's Head
Queen's Head

And the Grand Winner:
Butt's Sandwiches (home of the famous Butt Sandwich)
