UX DESIGN : RESEARCH : BRAND
As a UX designer focused on driving meaningful impact, one of my most rewarding projects was reimagining the digital presence for Jewish Family Service of Seattle. Their existing website failed to capture the incredible 117-year legacy of supporting diverse communities across the Puget Sound region. Through extensive user research and close collaboration with JFS stakeholders, our team crafted a bold new design direction.
The centerpiece was elevating the powerful stories of real people whose lives have been transformed through JFS's services and community programs. By humanizing the experience with striking imagery and messaging that resonates emotionally, we were able to forge deeper connections with JFS's wide range of beneficiaries, volunteers, and donors. Rigorous usability testing validated our user-centered approach, leading to a 35% increase in online donations within the first six months after launch.
Ultimately, this initiative underscored how thoughtful design rooted in empathy can amplify an organization's mission and impact. For nonprofits in particular, crafting compelling digital experiences is crucial for engaging stakeholders and driving the resources to further their vital work in our communities. I'm proud that our partnership with JFS will empower their next century of service.
