Business Strategy
Over the last 17 years, Doris Quan has had the roles of Reporter, Editor, Business Owner, Project Manager and Web Site Producer for companies ranging from newspapers to design agencies to software companies. These roles prepared her well for running her own marketing consultancy, Mother of Pearl.
Doris works with her clients on their branding and communication strategies, website redesigns and corporate communication. She dives deep into understanding clients’ goals and audiences, and bases strategic recommendations on the findings.
Doris has worked extensively with CEOs and marketing teams for companies which include UW Business School, Business and Economic Development Center, Northwest Asian Weekly, Microsoft, Express Tubes, JayMarc Homes, Nintendo of America
Doris graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelor’s in Journalism. She is passionate about service, and actively participates in her community as a member of the Seattle Rotary Club and Girl Scouts of Western Washington Board of Directors. She has consistently volunteered her time with the University of Washington Business School, guest speaking at marketing classes and mentoring student groups.
