Brand Strategy
With a rare balance of design sensibility and strategic thinking,
David O’Higgins has played a
key role in building several of the world’s largest brands in both Europe and the U.S.
During his tenure at Landor and Interbrand, he helped develop the global brand identity for Royal
Dutch Shell worldwide, helped redefine and build the Ford Motors brand in France, designed the
Amex Blue Card, and created one of the most successful brands in the online arena, Cars Direct,
voted by Forbes magazine as the #1 car buying website in the U.S. In addition to working with
blue chip companies, O’Higgins has also worked with smaller cutting-edge clients.
He designed
the Alexander McQueen haute couture label, has had illustrative work published in David
Carson’s book ‘The End Of Print’ and created set designs for the Ballet Rambert and David Byrne.
He has helped to develop small start-ups with their online presence including Elemental
Architecture whose website was recently commended by Print Magazine as being one of
the best online identities produced in NYC for 2007. O’Higgins has consulted for online businesses such as Photo-Shelter and partners regularly with RGA Digital.
